Lucknow : Following the ruckus at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) hospital after attendants blamed the administration for a pregnant woman's death, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Siddharth Nath Singh today visited the site and enquired about the negligence, asserting that the Uttar Pradesh Government is sensitive and such incident is unacceptable.

"I saw the records of 108 and also I met (DGMO, Health Services) Dr. Negi with other doctors who were on duty. This is a total case of negligence. This Uttar Pradesh Government is sensitive and such incident is unacceptable. An enquiry will be made and I assure fair and quick decision," Singh said.

Singh further expressed his concern for the family and promised to provide justice in this matter soon.

"A report has been submitted and whoever was involved in this negligence case, strict action will be taken on them. I sympathize for the family and my condolence is with them. I will help the family to get justice," said Singh.

On Saturday, a pregnant woman was brought to the hospital who complained of stomach pain. Her husband claimed she was just administered and a painkiller was given and was sent back home.

The following day when she was brought back, she died and her attendants said it was because she was not admitted in the night and it happened due to negligence of doctors.

While, the local police was called in to control the ruckus, her family was asked to leave the body for post mortem. Later, the family refused to take the body with them. (ANI)
