After the National Green Tribunal (NGT) banned open defecation and dumping of waste on the floodplains of the Yamuna river and later announced a compensation of Rs. 5,000 for those violating the rule, the Abhanpur Nagar Panchayat on Saturday ordered for an infrastructure-haul for the district.
Currently, the district is under-construction and working on the drinking water scheme and sanitation care which be completed by December 2017, at a cost of Rs. 26 crores.
This scheme will completely cover the needs of drinking water by the year 2030 in Abhanpur.
Sanction of JCB Machine has been initiated at the cost of Rs. 20 lakhs for the Nagar Panchayat Abhanpur. Even an announcement of Rs.50 lakh has been offered to build a garden in the district.
Other developments like Muktidham (Temple construction for tourist attraction), bus stand, community health center and road construction is also being taken into notice.
The panchayat seeks for complete development by 2030 and this district turns into a city soon. (ANI)
