Uttar Pradesh: Six peacocks killed after being fed poisonous seeds

Six peacocks were allegedly killed by poachers in Uttar Pradesh's Chitrakoot district on Wednesday.

According to forest ranger Narendra Singh, the villagers had spotted a group of suspicious looking men near the forest, who are suspected of feeding poisonous seeds to the birds.

He said six peacocks have died, while another was currently under treatment.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case and have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.

In January, poisonous seeds were used to kill six peacocks in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district. (ANI)
