The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on Wednesday refuted the claim made by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over Ankit Bharadwaj, the man who attacked ousted Delhi minister Kapil Mishra, of being a member of the organisation, saying it might be an act of the Kejriwal-led government activist to vouch for cheap publicity.

The BJYM denied any association of Bharadwaj with the organisation and said it was an act to malign the image of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

"BJYM refutes the allegations made on Ankit Bharadwaj, a so called BJYM Activist. The person who has attacked Former Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra is neither a BJYM Activist nor has any alignment to any of its wing. It is completely wrong to make false claims against the BJP. It is an act to malign the image of BJP. We condemn such an incident," the BJYM said in a statement.

"In fact this could be an act by an AAP Activist who vouch for cheap publicity since Kapil Mishra has made serious allegations against Arvind Kejriwal and other Ministers of the Delhi Government. It is an act of cowardness. We condemn such acts," it added.

On the same note, even Mishra commented the same.

He said Bharadwaj is an AAP worker and looks after the Mohalla Clinic project under the core team of Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain.

"He is an AAP worker. As far as my sources have told me, he is associated with AAP. He looks after Mohalla Clinic project under the core team of Satyendra Jain. I have never met him," Mishra said.

A person earlier today tried to attack Mishra who is on a hunger strike demanding the reasons behind few AAP leaders' foreign trips in the last two years.

When a youth named Ankit Bhardwaj tried to attack Kapil then he was overpowered by Mishra's supporters.

Later, Ankit said he wanted to attack Kapil because he has harmed the AAP.

The Delhi Police have arrested Ankit.

Mishra has asked AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal to tell where party leaders- Sanjay Singh, Ashish Khetan, Satyendar Jain, Raghav Chadha and Durgesh Pathak- got the money from to fund their various foreign trips.

In a letter, Kapil told Kejriwal, "Someone told me if these details are revealed, the public won't let you stay in power for another moment. What is the secret behind these trips?" (ANI)
