India will raise key issues like terrorism, climate change and United Nations reforms in the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

Syed Akbaruddin, India's permanent representative to the United Nations, on Sunday said that India has three important agendas including terrorism, climate changes and UN reforms to discuss in the international platform.

"India considers UN as an international platform. So, our issues are of international nature. There should be reform in the United Nation and this is our first big issue. The second issue is the terror, as you all know that terrorism is an important and serious issue not only in Asia or India but in every country. Every country is facing problems because of it. The third issue is climate change," he told in exclusive interview to ANI.

He further informed that UN peacekeeping will also be one of the important issues to be raised in the General Assembly.

"As you know that Indian Army is a part of UN peace keeping force in many African states so peace keeping is also one of the issues. So, climate change, peacekeeping, reforms and terror will be our focus areas," he added.

Commenting on America's stand on terrorism, Akbaruddin said the Washington D.C. is also planning to raise terrorism issue in the General Assembly and thus both the countries will focus on it together.

"Terrorism will be our main focus, and yesterday when I was listening that America has also said that they will focus on terrorism, so, on this issue, America and India will focus together," he said. (ANI)
