New Delhi : Well, magic was bound to happen as legendary singer Gurdas Maan recently performed live for a special show in Mumbai, to support the families & patients suffering from Pediatric Cancer.
The Punjabi Singer performed on the ocassion of Baisakhi and launched the 'Pediatric Cancer Patients & Families Assistance Corpus Fund' at the show. The singer also donated all the funds collected from the show for the cancer patients.
Speaking about the essence and the significance of the day, he shared, "I really cannot explain anything in words. The way people were enjoying is something an artist looks forward to and I am really happy to make some contribution for such a noble cause."
Ram Singh Rathor, Founder of the Committee, inaugurated the fund in the presence of Satya Pal Singh (Member of Parliament , Lok Sabha, Baghpat) , Maninderjeet Singh Bitta (Chairman- All India Anti-Terrorist Front), R. P. Singh (National Secretary Bhartiya Janta Party) and Surinder Paul Singh Oberoi (Philanthropist).
"Over 50,000 new childhood cancer cases are being registered in India every year. Most of these cases are treatable if efficient and prompt treatment is accessible. A large number of underprivileged kids lack the access to right information and life-saving treatment in our country. On this auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, our committee has joined hands together along with Gurudas Maan to raise funds for the destitute and are hoping to contribute to the society in our own small way," said Ram Singh Rathor.
